With the increasing advancements in the area, the managing director of Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) and also the CEO of Noida Authority Ritu Maheshwari told that the cabinet has recently approved for the extension of Aqua Line, for the benefit of lakhs of passengers travelling to and from Greater Noida, Noida and Delhi. This 14.95 km long extension is predicted to have an estimated cost of Rs 2,682 crore and is set to be completed in the next three years.
Getting into the details of the project, the new track is to be completed in two phases and when completed, is planned on connecting Sector 71 in Noida to Knowledge Park V in Greater Noida. Phase 1 will be 9.6 Km long that will cost around 1,064 crore it consists of five stations, Noida Sector 122, Sector 123, Greater Noida Sector 4, Eco Tech and Greater Noida Sector 2 along with the Phase 2 which will be a 5.3 Km long corridor that consists of four more stations Greater Noida Sector 3, Sector 10, Sector 12 and Knowledge Park V. Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has been running Aqua line since 25 January 2019 and is looking forward to this extension towards Greater Noida West.
Looking at the development that Noida has been making recently this does look like a smart move as it will help a lot of people to travel with much ease, keeping in mind that many huge projects like the Jewar Airport, F1 racing track and other MNC’s are set to be completed in Noida.
