Goa is popularly mentioned as the party capital of India. Similarly the media capital tag is mainly bestowed for Noida. It seems like Noida will have a new competitor as a Mumbai based firm is likely to proceed with a plan for developing a film city along Yamuna Expressway.
The CEO of YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial and Development Authority) has informed that the firm has requested for 310 acres of land in Sector 29 along Yamuna Expressway for developing the new film city in Delhi-NCR.
The authorities have already viewed the presentation of the project. They are soon expected to negotiate with the firm on land allotments. The proposed plan intends to develop film city similar to that of Mumbai Film City.
The project shall be developed some 30 km from Noida in a township named Yamuna City. The presently operating film city in Noida Sector 16 was established more than two decades ago, which houses several of media houses and studios.
