According to reports, the foundation stone of Noida International Airport strategically located in Jewar would be held before Diwali, 2018, in the ceremony Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be present.
Along with the international airport, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is planning to enhance it by developing shopping plaza, hotel, motel, convention center, and much more, which will help in generating employ opportunity. However, the airport project is expected to produce about one lakh employment opportunity, according to the Technical Economic Feasibility Report (TEFR).
According to reports, on April 23 after the approval of airport project from the center, the ceremony will be held around October end. Moreover, the invites for developers of the proposal for the execution of the project will be started by June end.
The first phase of the project is expected to be spread over 5,000 hectares of land along with the investment about Rs 80,000 crore to develop the first phase as well as planned star hotels, laser plaza, shopping complexes, convention center, and world-class market chains.

This airport will cut the long distance between cities and will ease the congestion at the IGI airport in New Delhi, which is the seventh busiest in Asia. The airport will work as the major USP for the upcoming projects in the proximity.
